The head of the state corporation “Roscosmos” Dmitry Rogozin responded to the assumptions about an alliance between Russia and China in space against the West. He wrote about this on his page at Twitter .
In particular, Rogozin quoted an article from The Washington Post. It says that the joint plans of Russia and China testify to “the actual emergence of an alliance that is directed against the West.”
However, according to Rogozin, this is not at all the case. “This is not about confrontation, but about cooperation in the exploration of the moon,” he wrote. According to him, the plans of Russia and China on the Moon are open to broad international participation.
On March 9, the Russian and Chinese sides signed a memorandum on the creation of a station on the Moon. The agreement implies both joint planning, development and implementation of the project, as well as its presentation to the world community.
