The World Health Organization (WHO) responded to the statement of French President Emmanuel Macgron that Russia and China with the help of Vaccine against Coronavirus lead the World War of New Type. The statement of the head of state commented on the senior adviser to the WHO General Director of Bruce Eilward, reports TASS.
“We are in war, leaders of right. This is a war against the virus, not against each other,” he explained. Eilward drew attention to how many state leaders could interact through the WHO Director General to achieve a common goal – victory over COVID-19. “There is a lot of tension, friendly fire sometimes, but this is the nature of such a struggle. (…) We can get out of it just together,” the representative of the organization concluded.
The Director of the WHO Emergency Situations Program Michael Ryan in turn added that it was incorrect to accuse all the leaders of the states that they were working against their people, pursuing political goals. “In the overwhelming number of cases, regardless of ideological views, most leaders are trying to do better for their nations. They can do it not perfect, but this is part of the process,” he indicated.
On March 25, French President stated that Europe was faced with the “World War of New Type” due to vaccines from COVID-19. According to him, this happened, including because of Russia and China’s actions, which are trying to “influence the vaccine.”
After this statement, the developers of the Russian vaccine “Satellite V” offered France to produce a drug. They emphasized that the production of different types of vaccine is “path to vaccine independence.”
