Infectiousists from the Center for Control and Prevention of Gangzhou diseases found out how long traces of coronavirus infection can remain in everyday items used by infected. The study was published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.
In the spring of 2020, scientists have observed the hotel rooms in which 39 patients with COVID-19 were located on quarantine. It turned out that the infection was preserved in the premises up to 28 days. Four weeks in a row virus found on a wash basin in the bathroom. For three weeks, he remained in the sewer hole, two weeks – to the toilet seat. On average, the traces of coronavirus infection have persisted on different surfaces for five days.
The presence or absence of traces of coronavirus on surfaces in the rooms was checked with smears, which were then subjected to PCR testing. Most often, the marks of the virus were found on cups (100 percent cases), sinks (12.82 percent), toilet seats (7.89 percent) phones (5.56 percent) and bedside tables (5.56 percent).
In February, a physicist scientist from Germany, Professor Roland Wiesendanger (Rolandanger) stated that Coronavirus could appear as a result of leakage from the laboratory in Chinese Uhana, the likelihood of this event is 99.9 percent. From January to December 2020, a scientist from Hamburg conducted his own investigation – analyzed scientific publications and media materials, and also discussed what was happening with a multitude of colleagues competent in this matter. “I am 99.9 percent sure that Coronavirus appeared in the laboratory,” Zenendanger said.
