Several retail grocery stores told Izvestia about the lack of sugar and sunflower oil, which they try to purchase producers at fixed prices. Previously, the appropriate agreement was concluded between the government, retailers and manufacturers.
According to representatives of outlets, problems with procurement of products began in February. Regional and veneer stores have encountered the greatest extent, but large-scale networks are also celebrated.
Retailers complain that they are forced to buy sugar and sunflower oil more expensive prices, but cannot raise their own retail prices, as they are regulated by the agreement with the authorities. It is compliance with several departments at once, including the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), Ministry of Industry and Rosstat.
Trading networks have already paid the attention of the authorities, in particular, the Ministry of Industry and Communist Party and the Ministry of Agriculture. On the adoption of any decisions at the government level have not yet been reported.
Agreement between the government, the largest retailers and manufacturers about fixing prices for sugar and sunflower oil was concluded at the end of last year after the rise in prices for these products was recorded. Initially, the agreement should have been valid until April 1. However, subsequently it became known about its extension until the end of May.
