“Academician Chersky” went towards construction of “Northern Flow-2”

Ship-pipe layer “Academician Chersky” went towards the construction site of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline in the waters of Denmark. This is evidenced by the portal data tracking portal Marine Traffic.

In recent weeks, the ship conducted running and pre-operational tests off the coast of Kaliningrad. It was assumed that after them it connects to work.

Currently, the laying of pipes leads the barge “Fortune”. Directly in Danish waters work started in February. There are no accurate information about the deadlines for the completion of the exact information, but, presumably, laying pipes will last until the end of the third quarter of 2021.

Earlier, the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) announced that the laying of the second gas pipeline thread (“Fortune” is engaged only by one) will begin until the end of March.

On March 26, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom Viktor Zubkov said that the degree of preparedness of the gas pipeline is 90-92 percent. Meanwhile, all last year it was reported that the route is ready for 93 percent, and after the resumption of work, information on readiness by 98 percent was held.
