Navy officer Italy and the Russian military worker working at the Russian Embassy in Rome were detained in the Italian capital on espionage charges. It is reported by the newspaper La Repubblica.
The detention was made at the time when the captain of the Italian fleet passed the employee of the Russian embassy documents in which, presumably contained confidential data, in exchange for money. The names of two suspects are not disclosed. The investigation assumes that the Italian officer could take espionage in favor of Russia due to financial difficulties in the family.
