Deadlines for release of first industrial party “Satellite V” in Belarus

The Minister of Health of Belarus Dmitry Pinevian called the deadlines for the release of the first industrial party of the Russian vaccine from Coronavirus “Satellite V” in the territory of the republic, writes BelTA.

According to the minister, the Belarusian state-owned enterprise “Belmedpreparats” has already begun to produce the drug. The party size will be about 100 thousand doses, it will reach the Ministry of Health by mid-April and will immediately be involved for vaccination of citizens. “In April-May this year, it is planned to instill about one million people. And to the autumn season to achieve the desired figure – four million,” said Pinvich.

He noted that later the company will produce about half a million doses of “satellite V” every month, including two components of the vaccine at once. “It will be covered by the needs of the Russian Federation or some third countries in our common interests,” the minister added.

Industrial production of vaccine from coronavirus “Satellite V” began on March 25, 2021. The trial series of the Russian drug in the country was released on February 26.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko wished “stand on the shoulders of Russia” and create its own vaccine from Coronavirus, which will be “the best in the world.” He said that the fast development of the drug will be provided by the fact that local experts already know something “and can use Russia’s experience, Europe and China.
