Amount of increase in Russian pensions from April 1

Pensions for state security, including social pensions, from April 1 will be indexed by 3.4 percent. This is reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Russia (FFR), writes TASS.

“Depending on the type of pension, the increase as a result of indexing will be an average of 270 to 514 rubles per month,” the department noted.

As told in the FIU, the average size of a social pension after indexing will be 10.2 thousand rubles. Social pension to disabled children will grow an average of up to 15 thousand rubles, social pension to disabled since childhood of the first group – up to 15.16 thousand rubles.

The pensions of the participants of the Great Patriotic War will also be indexed, which also receive an insurance pension and a pension for state support. On average, it will be 42 thousand rubles. The pension of disabled people in military injury, also receiving two pensions, after indexation will increase by an average of up to 32.9 thousand rubles.

Increased pensions from April 1 will receive 3.9 million people. These are people who, because of various circumstances, were not able to develop enough employment experience to obtain a pension.

On March 29, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Olga Batalina stated that on January 1 of this year, the average pension in Russia amounted to 15,744 rubles. For five years, pensions rose, in 2016 it was on average equal to 12,673 rubles. Deputy chairman of the PFR Sergey Chirkov noted that raising the level of pensions above the inflation rate is possible. The average amount of payments for old-age non-working pensioners, according to him, is 17,536 rubles.
