Russian ambassador declared deepest crisis in relations with United States

Ambassador of Moscow in Washington Anatoly Antonov, speaking at a meeting of the Committee of the Council of International Affairs, said that Russia and the United States are in the deepest crisis. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, the Russian side has been making efforts for several years to resolve the level of bilateral relations, to establish an equal mutual respectful pragmatic dialogue, “but this did not lead to a change in bilateral relations, since Washington” consistently destroys the entire architecture of “relations between Two countries.

Ambassador noted that “rake the ruins formed in recent years will be very, very difficult.” At the same time, Antonov believes that Washington has no desire to do this.

Previously, Anatoly Antonov declared a shortage of time for quarrels from the United States. In particular, the diplomat noted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the fight against the pandemic, reminding that Moscow has repeatedly emphasized its willingness to work together in this area.

The Russian ambassador arrived in Moscow for consultations after the scandalous interview of the American president Joe Bayiden on March 21. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Antonov was summoned to discuss relations between Russia and the States. The department noted that the timing of consultation with Antonov “will take as much as needed.” The diplomat has already held meetings in the Foreign Ministry and the State Duma.

On March 17, US President Joe Biden in an interview with ABC NEWS TV channel said he wants to call for the Russian state to answer the alleged interference in the United States. He spoke about a conversation with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin and added that he would pay, if he would be guilty. In the same conversation, Biden made a sharp statement to the Russian president. Putin answered this by the phrase “who as calls for, he is called.” According to him, people always see their own qualities in another person.
