In March Specialists of the Center Repair Center (CA) “Star” in Severodvinsk, the active zone of the nuclear reactor of the burnt atomic deep-water station (AGS) of the AC-31 “Luxarik” project 10831 was completed, TASS reports, referring to a source close to the Ministry of Defense of Russia .
The interlocutor added that the corresponding operation “lasted about a month”, after which the work was started with the modernization of AGS. According to the source, the titanium station of the station practically did not suffer, and the nuclear reactor of the inhabable apparatus is not planned to be replaced.
In March, the British Navy Lookout magazine showed a possible image of the Russian nuclear submarine (APL) K-329 “Belgorod” of the project 09852 with AGS AC-31 “Luxarik” project 10831.
In July 2019, the AC-31 “Luxury” project of 10831 burned down, as a result of which 14 sailors were killed. At the same time, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu set the task as soon as possible to restore this AGS.
According to open data, the AC-31 “Luxarik” project 10831 is designed to carry out operations on the sea ground at a depth of up to six kilometers, including, in particular, lighting surrounding landscapes, manipulation with various external products, such as the installation of various sensors and cutting underwater Cables, and general intelligence. Structurally, this AGS hides seven titanium relatively independent spherical compartments related to each other by transitions. In the tailing compartments, presumably there is a nuclear power plant. The total length of the submarine is 69 meters, the width is 7 meters, the speed of the underwater movement is 30 knots.
