Italy stated transfer of its secrets of Russia “hostile act”

The Foreign Minister of Italy Luigi Di Mayo called the transfer of the secrets of the country to the Russians serious hostile act. Such a statement, he did during the Speech at a joint meeting of the Commission on Foreign Affairs of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. Di Mayo quotes RIA Novosti.

“We are talking about a hostile act of extreme seriousness, so we immediately accepted the necessary measures,” the minister said.

Previously, Di Mayo stated that two employees of Russian diplomsses would send out of the country. The Italian authorities argue that the Navy officer and the Russian Embassy officer in Rome were detained in the Italian capital on espionage charges. On March 30, the captain of the Italian fleet allegedly conveyed to Russian military secret documents in exchange for 5 thousand euros.

The names of the suspects are not disclosed. The investigation assumes that the Italian officer could take espionage in favor of Russia due to financial difficulties in the family.
