Germany: found “blow” situation around Astrazeneca vaccine

Head of the Ministry of Health of Germany Jens Schpp called the “blow” situation around the vaccine from the coronavirus company Astrazeneca. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, the fact that one of the countries available in the country can represent an increased danger to a certain age group – is definitely a blow.

It is noted that Earlier, the Permanent Vaccination Commission (Stiko) at the Robert Koch Institute has changed its recommendations on the use of Astrazeneca vaccine. According to her conclusion, the drug is intended only for persons over 60 years. According to the Commission, the drug in rare cases within 4-16 days after vaccination can lead to cases of thrombosis mainly in patients younger than this threshold.

March 30 became known that in Germany, the Vaccine from Coronavirus Astrazeneca will be used only for persons over 60 years. Such a decision was made at the conference in which Jens Shppn and his colleagues from federal lands took part. Citizens younger than the established threshold will be able to undergo vaccination with this drug only after assessing the state of their health care and in the case of individual risk analysis after careful informing.
