First Deputy Predpreda of Russia at the UN Dmitry Polyansky explained to Russia’s refusal to perform at the UN Security Council postpheme with US President Joe Biden. His words report RIA Novosti.
“in context, when our ambassador was invited to Moscow to consult, we thought that it would not be very logical for us to say something,” Polyansky explained. He noted that at the moment the relations between Russia and the United States are subjected to deep analysis.
At the same time, the deputy postphem stressed that the Russian side was present at the meeting and was polite. “But we decided not to say anything, because it is difficult to say anything at such meetings in such situations. I hope you all understand the context,” he concluded.
