Earlier, Lukashenko promised to transfer 70-80 percent of the powers of the head of state to parliament, government and other structures. He explained this by the fact that the people and society “were closed on the president and its powers.”

The beginning of the work of the Constitutional Commission Lukashenko announced on March 15. The country is planned to hold a referendum to adopt a new version of the Basic Law. After the reform, Lukashenko promised to leave the presidency.
