PE and sanctions are extended for another year. About this decision, the White House informed the leadership of the US Congress. “This significant malicious activity in cyberspace continues to constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to national security, foreign policy and economy,” the document says.
In the message of the White House, it is said that we are talking about the preservation of measures introduced not only by the decree of US President 13694, but also a similar document for the number 13757. The term of this sanctions was repeatedly extended by the US authorities in recent years.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Russia must pay for various examples of its aggression – hacker attacks, interference with the election, the use of chemical weapons.
