Head of Rosnedre Evgeny Kiselev predicted the deadlines for the depletion of extracted oil reserves in Russia. He told about it in an interview with the Russian Gazeta.
According to him, oil in Russia is enough for another 58 years. At the same time, Kiselev stressed that this calculation is based at the current level of technology development, and with their development will move away.
The head of the Federal Agency also noted that it will be possible to sell oil and make a profit will succeed only over the next 19 years, since not all its mining is profitable. Nevertheless, the emergence of new technologies can change this situation, he summarized.
Previously international consulting and analytical agencies Wood Mackenzie and Westwood Global Energy, analyzing the data of mining companies in 2020, declared the leadership of Russia in the geological exploration of hydrocarbons. According to Westwood’s conclusions, 70 percent of the volumes of oil and gas reserves found in the world last year.
