“Mail of Russia” has a new service for online stores and private vendors, which will allow it to be built into the supply chain in a new way. We are talking about special drop-off points, written “Vedomosti”.
The company decided with the help of these items to speed up the delivery of goods to buyers so that they could do without marketer warehouses. It is assumed that the speed of delivery service will be able to increase twice. If earlier from Yekaterinburg in Tyumen, goods went for a couple of days, now delivery to neighboring major cities will be possible for the next day.
As stressed in the “Russian Post”, with conventional Drop-OFF departments, items are not related, they are created on the basis of logistics centers. While 56 points are open in cities with a population from 500 thousand people, but in the future the network will expand.
The basic principle is that the seller of goods can send a large batch of parcels with orders immediately through the Russian Post, even if the purchases were issued on marketers. From there, the goods immediately go to the customer.
The source of the publication believes that the opening of one drop-off point can cost 1.5-2 million rubles. At the same time, Telecom Daily General Director Denis Kuskov believes that Russian Post Enters the market late for five to six years. According to him, the largest marketers (Ozon, Yandex.Market, Wildberries) have already built their own warehouses, established their own logistics and try to do without cooperation with “Russian Post”.
And besides, the head of Content-Review Sergey Polovnikov recalled the need for large-scale changes in logistics centers. According to him, the staff there “at best, 20 thousand rubles are received,” and move them – “the case is ungrateful”. After all, after advanced training, they can go to private companies.
Earlier in the “Russian Post” wanted to test the Stretch-loader robot, which was released by Boston Dynamics. The organization sent a request to use the development of the Novosibirsk Logistics Center and automatically process up to 1.5 million parcels per day.
