In Central Bank listed signs of suspicious payment

First Deputy Director of the Information Security Department of the Bank of Russia Artem Sychev explained in what cases the bank transfer can be recognized as suspicious. He told about it in an interview with Radio Sputnik.

According to him, the system will suspend the banking operation if it is knocked out from the total number of client actions. For example, such a signal can be a purchase in another country. Also, the suspicion will cause a major payment if the user has operated only to this with small sums. In total, the representative of the regulator noted, depending on the bank of the system to combat frauds, can take into account from the fifth to one and a half thousand criteria.

Sychev emphasized that the bank can suspend such an operation, but not block or cancel it. By law, he must take all measures to contact the client and confirm the payment or translation. If you could not get through, the bank must continue to carry out this operation.
