The Netherlands ceased to vaccinate the Vaccine of the Swedish-British company Astrazeneca citizens under 60 years. This is reported by the Edition De Limburger with reference to the Ministry of Health of the country.
At the moment, the use of the drug is discontinued to Wednesday, April 7. The reason for this was new reports on serious side effects after vaccination in women aged 25 to 65 years. In particular, extensive thrombosis was recorded in combination with a low number of platelets about seven or ten days after the administration of the drug.
In March, the Netherlands already suspended the use of the Astrazeneca vaccine as a precautionary measure. Dutch Medicinal Management (MEB) has taken such a decision as a precautionary measure after reports of possible side effects that came from Denmark and Norway.
