The last such incident in Taiwan occurred in 2018: then all eight cars of the passenger train came out from the rails. Then 18 people died, about 200 were injured. In China, such a large emergency occurred in 2011, when two compositions were collided by the overpass in Wenzhou. As a result, 40 people were killed, and were injured – 142.

PE happened at 09:28 (04:28 Moscow time) in Tunnel Daqinsui. There were eight cars in the train, two of them are the second and the third – they came up with rails. Subsequent cars were deformed from the strike of the tunnel wall. According to preliminary data, the train collided with a cargo engineering machine, not set on the handbrake and gathered from the slope.
