On the process of digital transformation VTB Bank, Andrei Kostin, told students during the IX Conference “Management of the Future”, which was held with the support of the Bank at the Higher School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (VSM SPSU). In the open dialogue with students, Andrei Kostin spoke about the digital revolution in VTB, appreciated the Bank as an employer for Generation Z and answered the question where robots would not be able to replace people.

In his opinion, a breakthrough was in the bank – when people believed that a huge digital transformation occurs in VTB. Interested in people, you can not only with good financial conditions, but also some task that would be for them in creative plan, in terms of developing their skills interesting. These are two things that the bank can offer potential VTB staff. Now 13.5 thousand people are already working in the VTB Bank and its subsidiaries, which are engaged in IT, and the demand for them is huge.

For a year and a half, VTB implemented most of the tasks that were delivered under technological transformation. The entire amount of work should be implemented until the end of 2022. At the end of 2020, the profit from the introduction of new technological products exceeded 10 billion rubles, which was twice the predicted numbers. The mobile bank is translated into a new IT architecture, which made it possible to increase the speed of VTB online by twice, and the response time of the interfaces increased 10 times. VTB plans to continue to work with ahead of schedule and thus complete the main transformations in the first quarter of 2022.
