in the Scientific and Production Association named after S.A. Lavochkin (included in the state corporation “Roscosmos”) work on preparing for the launch of an automatic interplanetary station “Luna-25”, which is scheduled for autumn of this year. The modern lunar apparatus will be the continuation of the Soviet stations of the eponymous series.
On April 17, 2021, the Luna-25 layout (gauge assembly) of the Moon-25, designed for comprehensive tests of technical means and systems on the cosmodrome, was delivered on the East space cosmodrome. Work on schedule is scheduled for this year. During the test, the technology of work with a product on a spacecraft will be worked out to ensure the subsequent launch of the flight.
Full product of the Russian station “Luna-25” is currently in the finishing chamber of the NPO Lavochkina testing station and the stage of electrical testing tests necessary to confirm the performance of the station at all stages of the mission is underway. The manufacture and testing of the Moon-25 flight device is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2021, after which the device will be sent to the cosmodrome to prepare for launch.
The implementation of the Space Expedition “Luna-25” is an important step in the development of outer space, it will allow to rise to a qualitatively new level in the studies of the moon and under a different angle to look at the prospects for the development of the planets of the solar system, to understand the mechanisms of the planets, the appearance of water and, Consequently, life on earth. The Space Agency “Luna-25” is fully created using the Russian element base and the latest achievements in the field of cosmic instrument making. The main task of the mission is to work out the basic technologies of a soft landing in the near-polar region and carrying out contact research of the soil in the area of the South Pole of the Moon.
