The Institute of Thermal Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) began the creation of an aromobile with cyclic propellers “Cyclokar”, according to the Foundation for promising research (FPI).
Load capacity of a product having a 6.2 meter dimensions will be 600 kilograms. The car can accommodate up to six people. Maximum speed – 250 kilometers per hour, flight limit range – 500 kilometers.
Aeromobile will be equipped with a Russian hybrid power plant (GSU). “The aircraft will be equipped with an energy contest based on a gasoline rotary-piston engine or a more powerful version of the GSU based on the turbocharged engine,” the FPI notes.
In July 2020, the Director General of FPI Andrei Grigoriev said that the cyclicolet will be shown in Russia – the unmanned vertical takeoff and landing apparatus with a carrier system based on four cyclic drivers.
