Moscow ranked first among Russian regions on socio-economic and economic development in 2020. This is evidenced by the data of the integral rating compiled by the Fund for the Development of Civil Society on the basis of these Rosstat, Roskazna, the Ministry of Finance and the FTS report “Izvestia”.
The second place was taken by the Tyumen region, the third is the Leningrad region. In the top ten, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Magadan, Irkutsk, Kaluga region and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug were also found.
When drawing up the rating, including the average monthly salary, the cost of the consumer basket, the index of industrial production and the ratio of debt to the federal center with the income of the regional budget are taken into account.
In February, the Russians called cities with a better wage in their field. Moscow became the leader in salary expectations. So, 86 percent of the survey participants stated that in their field the best salary can only be obtained in the capital. In second place was St. Petersburg (29 percent), then Novosibirsk is coming (7 percent).
