Two people died at the accident in the autopilot of the electric car Tesla in the state of Texas, USA. This was reported to The Wall Street Journal with reference to the county of Harris district.
The accident occurred on Saturday, April 17th. The electric car at high speed crashed into a tree, not fitting in turn. After that, Tesla caught fire, the fire was tushed around four hours.
As a result, two people died, while one sacrifice was on the front passenger seat, the second – from the back.
“The preliminary investigation has not yet been completed, but indicates that there was no one behind the wheel of the car. We are confident by 99 percent,” stated the district policeman Mark Herman.
Tesla manufacturer did not respond to the request of the newspaper to comment on what happened.
In 2019, a resident of the American state of South Carolina Omar Avan (Omar Awan) burned down in the rented electric car Tesla after the accident. A 48-year-old man lost control and crashed into a palm tree. As a result of the accident, the lithium-ion car battery caught fire, fire and smoke filled out the salon.
In March 2017, two Tesla Model S car burned down on the territory of the Supercharger charging station in Shanghai. The ignition occurred in one of the cars, after which the fire shrugged to another electric car parked nearby.
