“When we decide [about plans to deploy the national orbital service station of a new generation], then begin negotiations with our partners about the conditions and forms of interaction after 2024,” explained in the press service.

previously in “Roskosmos” offered to abandon the International Space Station (ISS) due to the high cost. In the state corporation, they calculated that after 2025 avalanche-like failure of the ISS systems will begin, as a result of which further maintenance of the station will cost 10-15 billion rubles.

MCS is operated since the end of 1998, the service life expires in 2024, but the extension of the term of operation until 2030 is considered.
