According to the diplomat, Russia “perfectly understands that Washington uses its currency and the financial system for aggressive conduct of its policy is not easy bypass, but in the destruction of the entire international legal system.”
In this regard, the use of measures that are intended to minimize losses and risks, including the transition to calculations in currencies other than the dollar, has added Zakharov. “Naturally, all this puts doubt on the appropriateness of the application of the American monetary unit as a priority currency of payment, as well as the reliability of the west of payment mechanisms,” she stressed.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia sees the need for a national or alternative dollar currency for settlements with other states, and also works on the refusal of payment systems controlled by the West.
