The United States intends to continue to introduce economically significant sanctions against Russia in the event of an escalation of activities that harm the country. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the presidential administration of USA Joe Bayden.
In the White House, Washington reserves the right to “answer” for the possible response of Moscow for sanctions, however, they emphasized that they hope for dececolate. “What will be the answer [of Russia], only to see. And the United States, of course, retain the right if necessary to take further actions, but in our mutual interests – to get off the path of escalation and find an opportunity for moving forward,” said a high-ranking representative administration.
Earlier on Thursday, April 15, the US President signed an executive decree on the introduction of new sanctions against individuals and legal entities from Russia. Among the grounds for introducing new restrictions, allegedly hostile activity of the Russian Federation in the cyberster, interference with the election in the United States or other foreign countries.
