Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the new possible US sanctions. He said that “smoke without fire does not happen,” and that in the Kremlin condemn and consider any sanction aspirations illegal, RIA Novosti writes.
He also noted that Moscow would not want relations with the United States to be built on the Leninsky formula: “Step forward, two steps ago.” Peskov noted that it is necessary to wait for the official announcement of Washington’s decision.
Earlier, the Reuters Agency wrote that the new anti-Russian sanctions of the United States may include restrictions related to Russian sovereign debt. Under the influence of these news, the ruble exchange rate was collapsed.
According to Bloomberg, the United States will send from the country ten Russian diplomats and introduce new sanctions against individuals and legal entities from Russia. As it became known, restrictions will be superimposed on 20 Russian organizations and 12 Russians.
