Central Bank will tighten the criteria for bank involvement in dubious operations from the second quarter of 2021. This is reported on the regulator website.
So, the Bank will be considered to be involved in conducting dubious operations with non-cash and cash, if their volume exceeds 500 million rubles per quarter. At the moment, this threshold installed in 2017 is 1 billion rubles.
In the Central Bank, they explained that the introduction of such criteria aimed at further reduction of the amount of dubious operations, and also that banks are carefully revealed and prevented.
As noted in the regulator, the volumes of dubious operations are reduced over the past few years. Thus, from 2016 to 2020, the withdrawal of money abroad was reduced four times (up to 52 billion rubles), and cash cash – seven times (up to 78 billion rubles).
