Denmark has become the first European country, which completely refused the Vaccine of the British-Swedish company Astrazeneca. This was stated by the Office for Health Country.
Denmark’s authorities based on scientific findings concluded that there is a real risk of serious side effects related to the use of the drug. Therefore, it was decided to exclude this vaccine from the vaccination campaign for all groups of the population. At the same time, drugs from companies Pfizer and Moderna will continue to vaccinate residents.
March 11 Denmark as a precautionary measure temporarily banned the use of Astrazeneca vaccine. Health Minister Magnus Heynik said that it was connected with reports on the formation of thromboms in people who made vaccinations.
A number of European countries have been suspended or partially banned vaccination with Astrazeneca due to the discovery of thrombosis in the intimidated patients. Meanwhile, the creators of the vaccine insist on its safety. The company stated that a detailed study of data on the state of health after vaccination was more than 17 million people showed the lack of increased risk of pulmonary artery embolism, deep vein thrombosis or thrombocytopenia.
