The government plans to reduce the average mortgage rate to make housing loans more accessible. This is reported by the newspaper Izvestia with reference to two sources close to the Cabinet.
So, maintaining the average housing loan rate in Russia at the level of 6.9 percent per annum until 2030 may become the key goal of the National Project “Housing and the City Wednesday”. This is 1 percentage less than planned initially. Such an option was considered at a meeting at the Deputy Prime Minister Marat Husnullin, but the decision is not yet accepted.
In Russia until December 2030, it is planned to implement the national project “Housing and City Wednesday”. His budget is about trillion rubles. The project is designed to help the Russians to improve housing conditions, make the construction industry modern, and cities are beautiful and comfortable, having relived them from emergency houses.
It is assumed that, according to the results of the project, the Russians will also get the opportunity to take housing in the mortgage at a rate of less than 8 percent, and buying objects under construction on credit will be safe. In addition, it is planned that more than 530 thousand people will relocate from old houses, and almost a third of Russians will participate in solving the development of the urban environment.
