The new Czech Foreign Minister Yakub Kulgank criticized relations with Russia at a press conference, convened in 45 minutes after its destination. This reports Lidovky Noviny.
The Minister stated an extremely difficult stage in Czech-Russian relations. At the same time, according to him, such a period began “not the fault of Prague”. “We dispersed the network of agents of Russian special services, we broke ties with the Russian Rosatom, which will no longer have relation to the project [construction of a new power unit NPP]” Cooked “,” said Kulgank.
In addition, the Foreign Minister promised to accept a number of decisions against Moscow, including with the help of foreign partners.
Russia and the Czech Republic relations worsened against the background of accusations against the special services of Russia, whom Prague considers involved in the explosion in the warehouse of ammunition in Vrbetice in 2014. This was followed by a decision on expulsion of 18 Russian diplomats. In addition, on April 19, members of the Czech Government unanimously decided to exclude Rosatom from among the candidates for participation in the tender for the construction of a new power unit of the NPP “Cocus” in the south-east of the country.
Moscow promised to take response steps and already sent 20 Czech diplomats.
