The first buses on hydrogen will appear on the streets of Russian cities in 2024. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Industry, reports RIA Novosti.
Representatives of the department noticed that the prototype of such a bus should be created by the end of this year. At the same time, over three years, it is planned to begin trial operation of public transport in a new form of fuel.
In the Ministry of Industry, also indicate that the mass introduction of buses on hydrogen needs to create an appropriate filling infrastructure. These dates in the report are not marked, nevertheless, the Ministry considers itself very promising.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to create a city bus on hydrogen fuel by 2023. About its developments in this area have already been announced in KamAZ.
Last week it was reported that Russia by 2050 would like to earn money on the export of hydrogen from 23.6 to 100.2 billion dollars a year. As indicated in the project of the concept of hydrogen energy development until 2024, the country intends to send from 7.9 to 33.4 million tons of new fuel to the world market.
