Russia sharply increased sale of wheat and oil abroad

Wheat exports from Russia for January-February sharply increased three times (up to 7.6 million tons) compared to the same period last year. It is reported by the Federal Customs Service (FCS).

In monetary terms, the indicator increased 3.4 times (up to 1.8 billion dollars). In February, the supply of wheat abroad jumped 46.1 percent compared with January, sales brought 1.1 billion dollars. Russia also increased the export of vegetable oil. In January-February, it increased by 58.4 percent in monetary terms (up to 630.1 million dollars), and in physical terms – by 3.1 percent (up to 589.2 thousand tons).

The income of companies from the export of petroleum products decreased by 17.4 percent, although the volume of supply rose by 3.1 percent. Also decreased income from the export of gasoline and liquefied natural gas (LNG). At the same time, Gazprom income increased by 18.2 percent (up to 6.3 billion dollars). The average export cost of gas supplies increased from 169.6 to 172.78 dollars per thousand cubic meters.

Earlier it was reported that the average prices for sunflower oil from April 5 to April 11 collapsed by 4825 rubles (up to 113,350 rubles per ton). Analysts believe that the rising period of sunflower prices is over.

In April, the authorities allocated 9 billion rubles on the subsidies to the sugar-sand and sunflower oil. This will fix the cost of a kilogram of sugar at a level not higher than 36 rubles for wholesalers and 46 rubles for retailers, and one liter of oil – at 95 and 110 rubles, respectively.
