“Space” debate of young professionals

With the support of Roskosmos State Corporation and the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, young scientists and experts discussed the future of the space industry. In the center of “Cosmonautics and Aviation” at VDNH (Moscow), the second meeting of the Debate Club was held, created by the participants of the Innovation and Technological Leadership Working Group, the Coordination Council for the development of communities of young specialists under the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The meeting is timed to the 60th anniversary of the first flight of a person in space and is devoted to the issues of the prospective development of the space industry. Before the start of the discussion for the participants of the event, familiarized themselves with the exposition of the Center “Cosmonautics and Aviation”.

They saw the layouts of the first artificial satellite of the Earth, the spacecraft “Vostok”, orbital stations “Peace” and “Almaz-T”, studied unique samples of space technology, familiarized themselves with multimedia materials about domestic cosmic achievements, got acquainted with research that bind Space with medicine, astrophysical studies, life and life of astronauts in the near-earth orbit, learned how preparation for long-term space flights occurs.

Young specialists also conducted a discussion event in the format of debate on the discussion of the development prospects of the Russian Rocket and Space Industry. Among the issues that debate participants discussed – mining of minerals on other planets, disposal of “cosmic garbage”, prospects for the use of cosmonaut robots, the role of artificial intelligence in space flights, the development of private cosmonautics and promising directions for the development of the space industry.
