Bayden accused of “dangerous weakness” in relations with Russia

Representatives of the Republican Party in Congress accused US President Joe Bayiden in “Hazardous Weakness” in relations with Russia. The National Review edition wrote about this on April 16, RIA Novosti paid attention to this article.

According to Chairman of the Group of Congressmen, Jim Banks, Bayden returned to the policy of “rebooting”, which was held by the former President of the country Barack Obama. At the same time, Biden himself criticized the policies of his predecessor, Donald Trump, and called it not enough hard.

The hard rhetoric of the current American leader does not affect real actions, considers Banks. He recalled that Biden “unconditionally” extended an agreement on measures to further reduce and restrict strategic offensive arms (DSNV, unofficial name – START-3). In addition, the President introduced “toleful sanctions” against the Russian public debt.

On April 13, Biden during telephone conversations invited the Russian colleague Vladimir Putin to the bilateral summit at the neutral territory. A spokesman for the White House, Jen Psaki, said that the presidents could meet internally the upcoming summer.

Already two days later, Biden introduced a new package of sanctions against Russia. They touched over 30 individuals and legal entities. The grounds in Washington called allegedly hostile actions of Russia in cyberspace, interference with the election and affairs of foreign states. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the introduction of new limitations from the United States will not correspond to the words of Biden on the need to build stable relationships.
