The US Department of Finance issued a license that allows nine Belarusian state-owned companies to complete business with American business and minimize operations until June 3. The document is published on the website of the American department.
Enterprises are under the sanctions from 2007-2011, but in 2015 the restrictions were suspended, and from that moment on the license regularly extended. In early March, Washington announced the restoration of one-sided restrictions.
We are talking about the companies “Belorussian Oil Trading House”, Belneftekhim and its American division Belneftekhim USA, “Grodno Nitrogen”, “Grodno Chemvolokno”, “Belshina”, “Naftan”, “Lakokraska” and “Polotsk Fiberglass” .
On April 19, the US Department of Finance released an additional license at a number of 2H, which gives enterprises for 45 days to ensure that American companies can fully complete affairs and minimize all operations with partners who have fallen under the resumption of sanctions.
