China: saw a threat to state vehicle due to coal

The Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska saw the threat of the state version in China due to coal business. He wrote about this in his Telegram-channel. He clarified that it was coal magnates now actively resist the efforts of the authorities to limit harmful emissions. Deripaska believes that Paris agreements are not executed.

Billionaire indicated that to combat global warming it is necessary to increase carbon taxes and close “barbaric” coal stations and boiler rooms. “Chinese coal business, working solely for the purpose of enrichment, actively resists changes, and resistance it will only increase. Here the face, of course, is thin, and I would not exclude a possible public version,” the entrepreneur says.

Previously, Bloomberg reported that attempts to the countries of the world reduce the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere and to make peace were threatened due to the largest consumers of coal – the USA, China and India. They are preparing to increase consumption so much that the reduction of CO2 emissions, recorded during the coronavirus pandemic, will be useless. So, the United States this year is planning to increase consumption by 16 percent, and then by another 3 percent in 2022. China and India, which together there are almost two thirds of demand, do not plan to reduce it in the near future. The PRC authorities have repeatedly assumed that the country will be able to reach carbon neutrality by 2060.
