The Russian government will send 40 billion rubles this year for the construction of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed highway, which should be launched in the first quarter of 2024. Such deadlines called Prime Minister Mikhail Mishoustin, writes TASS.
The total amount of funding for a road megaproject exceeds 650 billion rubles. In total, this year, the authorities will invest 93 billion rubles in the development of a network of 93 billion rubles, of which 45 billion will go to the modernization of federal tracks, almost eight billion on the modernization of roads in five regions of the country.
The total cost of travel on the route Moscow – Kazan will be 1.6 thousand rubles. For some categories of drivers will provide a discount. For those who use the transponder, its size will be 20 percent.
The route will be part of the transport corridor Europe – Western China. It is assumed that the path from Moscow to Kazan on a new road will take 6.5 hours instead of 10 hours.
