Also, agency responded to a decision to invite advice to Moscow of the Russian ambassador in Washington Anatoly Antonova
“We have no plans to answer the Sullivan ambassador in response to the decision of the Russian Federation. The work that he and other devoted diplomats of the United States in Russia perform every day, is vital to promote American interests and our bilateral relations,” said the representative of the department .
In early April, the Moscow Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov, speaking at a meeting of the Committee of the Council of International Affairs, said that the relations of Russia and the United States are in the deepest crisis. He arrived in Moscow for consultation after the scandalous interview with the American president Joe Bayiden on March 21. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Antonov was summoned to discuss relations between Russia and the States. The department noted that the timing of consultation with Antonov “will take as much as needed.” The diplomat has already held meetings in the Foreign Ministry and the State Duma.
