In pursuance of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, following the east of the Eastern Economic Forum (September 11-13, 2018), the project for the placement of the Roskosmos Research and Engineering Space Center on the Russian island (Far Eastern Regional Regional Center remote sensing land on the island Russian).
In accordance with the schedule plan for the placement of the research and educational and engineering space center of Roscosmos, the Russian island provides for deploying on the basis of the Far Eastern Federal University of Laboratory for the implementation of research, development and technological work in the field of using Space Results Activities, including the reception and processing of remote sensing of the Earth. On Monday, April 12, 2021, a visit to the Far Eastern Federal University, the delegation of Roscosmos State Corporation, headed by Deputy General Director of Roskosmos State Corporation, Mikhail Khailov, was held.
During the visit, negotiations were held with representatives of the Far Eastern Federal University on further interaction during the creation of the Far Eastern Regional Center for Earth’s Remote Sensing on the Russian Island, Recognitive Works in the Far Eastern University with consideration of the options for placing a research and educational and engineering space center of the State Corporation Roskosmos, and estimate the state of the station receiving station remote sensing of the Earth installed on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal University;
During the visit, representatives of Roskosmos State Corporation also took part in a number of events dedicated to the Day of Cosmonautics held by the Far Eastern Federal University:
- Start of training missiles on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in honor of the 60th anniversary of the piloted cosmonautics; the opening of the school and student accelerator of the Center for Project Activities of the Far Eastern Federal University on Space Development.
At the request of the Far Eastern Federal University, Deputy Director of the Department of Navigation Space Systems (GLONASS) of Roscosmos State Corporation Valery Zaichko read an open lecture for students and employees of the Far Eastern Federal University on the topic: “Digital Earth: the modern possibilities of Russia for the development of space.”
