The Belarusian Ministry of Defense announced the deployment of NATO’s intelligence centers near the borders of the republic and Russia, transfers BelTA.
First Deputy Minister, Chief of the General Staff Viktor Gulevich took part in the meeting of the CSTO Military Committee in Moscow. Gulevich expressed the opinion of Minsk about the situation in the region, the ministry was reported.
He noted NATO’s activity at the borders of Russia and Belarus, including the deployment of intelligence centers and transport centers, improving military infrastructure facilities.
In February, the head of the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Oleg Warinov spoke at the OSCE seminar. He called on the policy of “deterrence” on the placement of foreign troops.
In Belarus, eight months continues mass protests demanding the resignation of President Alexander Lukashenko and holding new elections. Lukashenko himself has repeatedly claimed that the West is worthless.
