Trade unions offered to slow down increase in retirement age

The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) proposed to slow down the increase in the retirement age up to three months in one calendar year. This is reported on the site FNPR.

Organization also calls for indexing pensions to working retirees and raise the minimum wage (minimum wage) to 41 thousand rubles. “It is precisely to him who need to strive not only in order to reduce poverty, but also to ensure economic growth,” said Mikhail Shmakov, head of FNPR. He also suggested paying salaries to all budget workers from the federal level.

Earlier it was reported that the party “Fair Russia” is going to make a bill on the abolition of the Pension reform of 2018 and return the previous age of retirement: 55 years old – for women and 60 years – for men.

In 2018, the law was adopted, according to which the retirement age was increased for five years: from 60 to 65 years old – for men, from 55 to 60 years old – for women. The gradual increase in retirement age began in 2019. The transition period will last until 2028.
