Belarusian sanatorium workers who have fallen under the sanctions of the European Union, went to the protest action in front of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister in Vilnius. This is reported by TASS.
They launched a poster with the words: “Minister, do not take a job in 400 people!”. Representatives of the team intend to transfer to the authorities of 6 thousand signatures that were collected in support of the sanatorium.
The director of the medical and recreational institution Ilya Epifanov said that due to the actions of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry cannot pay employees of the salary in January.
Sanatorium is located in the resort town of Druskininkai. In December, the Swedbank operating in Lithuania frozen the score of the sanatorium as the property of Belarus, referring to the sanctions of the EU.
Baltic countries first introduced sanctions against official Minsk, accusing the authorities in falsifying presidential elections and repression against protesters.
