Policeman accepted airsoft gun for real and shot a teenager

A policeman in Maryland adopted a strikeball gun for the real and shot a 16-year-old teenager. It is reported by the ABC News TV channel.

According to the television channel, the police received two calls about a man who behaved suspiciously and kept something similar to a gun. The policeman arrived at the scene said that the man was armed with something resembling a knife and a gun, had resistance and was shot dead. It was later established that a “suspicious man” was a 16-year-old teenager Payton Ham, and his pistol was not real, but airsoft.

One of the eyewitnesses told the investigators that Ham sent to a police gun, after which he opened fire and wounded the teenager. Another witness said that after the first shot, Ham pulled the knife and tried to rise. Then the policeman ordered Ham to throw a knife, after which she once again fired in a teenager. The policeman called an ambulance, but the teenager died in the hospital. The policeman himself was not injured, he was removed from work at the time of the investigation.

Earlier it was reported that the police shot a black man Dante Wright in his car in Minneapolis. In the police, the incident was called an accident: the police officer intended to apply his own electric shock, but by mistake he made a shot of firearms. The murder of Wright provoked mass riots, robbery and vandalism. To overclock the gathered police used tear gas. In the city, the National Guard was also deployed to ensure order.
