Traditionally, on the eve of the day of cosmonautics in the workshop of preparation of the production of the Scientific and Production Association “Energomash” named after Academician V.P. Glushko (part of the state corporation “Roskosmos”) is updated “Gagarinsky Stand” – a peculiar photo exhibition dedicated to the visit in 1962 in NGO Energomash (then OKB-456) Yuri Gagarin and his comrades from the first cosmonaut detachment.
The exhibition was created more than 5 years ago at the initiative of Anatoly Borodin’s technique, who himself witnessed the arrival of cosmonauts and before retirement restored his photos and presented them with the head of the workshop Vladimir Solovyov. From these pictures, a photosende was issued, which since then reminds all employees of the workshop on a commemorative date of the first flight of a person in space and involvement in this event of our company.
By the way, the rally in honor of the arrival at the OKB-456 of the cosmonauts, according to eyewitnesses, passed just in the building number 3 (the current workshop of production preparation). Young workers who have recently come to the shop are considering archival photos, they begin to be interested in the history of the enterprise, feel proud to achieve predecessors, whose work allowed Soviet people to be the first to break away from the Earth into space.
