Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi planned to resign until the former US President Donald Trump won the 2016 elections. This is reported by USA Today with reference to the book Susan Page (Susan Page) “Mrs. Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and Power Lessons” (“Madam Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and The Lessons of Power”).
“After three decades of work, the Congresswumes from California, almost half of this time as a spiker of the House of Representatives, Pelosi said that he was going to translate the Spirit, to donate with his nine grandchildren, perhaps write his memoirs,” the book says.
Pelosi plans were to get out of their long stay at the post after at that time the US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton becomes the head of state, as she was sure that her policy would be protected by the new commander-in-chief, the book .
Pelosi said Page that the shock she experienced when Trump became president, “was physical.”
Despite the fact that she really had plans to resign in case of Victory Clinton, some of her closest relatives doubted that she would cope with it.
At the moment it is unclear whether Pelosi is planning to retire.
