Ministry of Defense declassified documents on atrocities of Nazis

The Ministry of Defense of Russia launched the section “Oblision is not subject to” on the atrocities of the Nazis. The project dedicated to the International Day of Liberation of the Prisoners of Nazi concentration camps is posted on the Office website.

The portal contains documents and photographs from the funds of the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defense, talking about the crimes of soldiers and officers of the Wehrmacht, civilian personnel of fascist Germany and their accomplices. Also show evidence of mass murders by the fascists of the civilian population, including babies. From a number of documents, a vulture of secrecy is removed.

It is noted that published information is not recommended for familiarization to persons under the age of majority. The reason for this is a detailed description of the atrocities, which were subjected to prisoners of war and civilian population.

On March 22, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin called on to establish and condemn all Nazi criminals, and in the event of their death – to predict their names and crimes. “All who are involved in inhuman attitude towards the population, genocide, murder of civilians and prisoners of war must be established and convicted,” said Bastrykin. He noted that the details of the mass killings of the civilian population during the Second World War in many Russian regions became known due to excavations and decaying archives.

In 2020, the Ministry of Defense declassified a number of documents devoted to the liberation of European cities from the Nazis. The crown of a series of publications became scanned materials about battles for Berlin and Reichstag.
