President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko urged not to let politics and state posts of recipients of foreign grants. He stated this at a meeting dedicated to the activities of political parties, transfers BelTA.
“adopted a grant, the money of the foreign fund, agreed to pay for travel, some other services – immediately de Jura and de facto lost the right to engage in politics, claim state posts and elected positions in Belarus,” said Lukashenko .
According to him, all this is spelled out in the current legislation, but “it is necessary to strengthen that this actually led to the elimination of such a party.” The head of Belarus also stated that the parties should not be financed from the state budget.
“If the people only find out that we will finance political parties from the budget, you know how to this people will be understood,” he explained.
Previously the former Minister of Culture, a member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council of the Belarusian opposition Pavel Latushko announced the intention to create a party. It is necessary to make it before changing power in the country, since after that the “political vacuum” is inevitably formed, he explained.
